To mark the UK launch of “Halo 5: Guardians” – one of the most anticipated blockbuster games of 2015 – the game’s iconic lead character, the Master Chief, has landed in London with all the fanfare befitting the arrival of a sci-fi legend.
A series of explosions were seen and heard close to the O2 Music Arena in London before a replica space ship from the game, a Covenant Banshee, was revealed along with the Master Chief and Spartan Locke, the latest character to join the epic franchise. Continuing the celebrations, tonight will see ‘Halo’ fans come together for the London launch event of ‘Halo 5: Guardians’.
Taking place at the Camden Roundhouse, the evening will include a two-and-a-half-hour gaming livestream of “Halo 5: Guardians”, featuring:
- A tournament between the UK’s biggest gaming YouTubers and fans
- A live in-game walkthrough from 343 Industries’ Franchise Development Director, Frank O’Connor
- Along with giveaways, appearances from special guests and more.

The UK event will entertain fans ahead of “Halo 5: Live,” a six-hour live broadcast, kicking off from 10pm GMT, that will connect millions of viewers around the world, allowing them to watch, comment and virtually participate in multiple launch celebrations held in key international cities. The six-hour broadcast will feature exclusive gameplay reveals, celebrity appearances and live interviews with the 343 Industries development team.
